In a shocking expose of the thriving illegal education mafia on the fringes of the GHMC, an unrecognised educational institution operating under the name ‘The Nano Junior College’ has come under the scanner for blatantly playing with the lives and futures of nearly 300 students.
Operating out of cramped, matchbox-like rooms in Badangpet Circle 16, the college is running full-fledged boys’ and girls’ campuses without a single legal permission from the Municipal Corporation, the Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education (TS BIE), or the Fire Services Department.
Locals and parents are now up in arms against Badangpet Municipal Commissioner Sammaiah and Town Planning Officer Dinesh, alleging that the duo has turned a blind eye to the massive irregularities due to a lucrative, under-the-table nexus with the college management.

*CRAMPED ‘DEATH TRAPS’ FOR CLASSROOMS.

According to sources, the management—infringing upon the brand value of a well-known educational group—is operating the Girls’ Campus in a mere 400-square-yard narrow plot (Plot No. 30, RCI Road, Badangpet-Almasguda Road). Similarly, the Boys’ Campus is being run in an identical congested facility opposite the MVSR Engineering College in Vijayalakshmi Nagar Colony, Nadargul village.
A ground check revealed that the classrooms have been aggressively partitioned with zero ventilation, violating the basic Building Master Plan Compliances.

*”There is no corridor space, let alone a playground as mandated by TS BIE norms. God forbid, if a fire breaks out, these buildings will turn into absolute death traps. There is no Fire NOC, and the lives of hundreds of teenage students are being leveraged for commercial greed,” a worried local resident told

By rolling out glitzy advertisements, the management has allegedly cheated gullible parents, collecting lakhs of rupees in fees for intermediate courses that hold absolutely no legal validity.

*CORRUPTION ALLEGATIONS FLY THICK AND FAST
Despite written complaints backed by documentary evidence submitted to the Badangpet Municipal Corporation, no enforcement action has been initiated so far. Angered locals question the silence of the Intermediate Board officials and District Intermediate Officer (DIO) Venkataiah Nayak.
Residents are now appealing to former Education Minister and local MLA Sabitha Indra Reddy to intervene and dismantle this illegal educational racket before the academic year progresses further.

*CRIMINAL CHARGES WAITING TO BE INKED
Legal experts state that the blatant violations invite stringent criminal and civil action under multiple statutes:

Sections 20 & 21 of the Telangana Education Act (1982):* For running an unauthorized institution, liable for immediate sealing and prosecution.

Sections 13 & 31 of the Telangana Fire Services Act (1999):* Attracts non-bailable warrants for operating high-occupancy student zones without Fire Safety clearances.

*Sections 318 & 61 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS): For criminal cheating, misrepresentation, and conspiracy to defraud parents.

Telangana Municipalities Act (2019):* Empowers authorities to demolish illegal commercial structures instantly.

*DEMAND FOR IMMEDIATE SEALING
The aggrieved public and student outfits have demanded that the TS BIE and the police department immediately step in to *seal the campus* and relocate the 300 students to government-recognized colleges to safeguard their academic year. Furthermore, an departmental inquiry has been demanded against Municipal Commissioner Sammaiah and Town Planning official Dinesh for dereliction of duty.
